We all agree stealing is bad, but there a difference between shoplifting and bank robbery and we punish them very differently. We need to apply the same sense of proportion to sexual violation; not every jerk out there deserves to have his life ruined or his career taken away.

Exactly! We also need to keep in mind that sometimes people lie or exaggerate! Especially when we are talking about celebrities. Trial by media is not fair.

A bank robbery or a shoplifting it's both called stealing now sexual violation, no matter the degree of the case, leaves to its victim the same following psychological problems which means they all should be punished the same !
