We all agree stealing is bad, but there a difference between shoplifting and bank robbery and we punish them very differently. We need to apply the same sense of proportion to sexual violation; not every jerk out there deserves to have his life ruined or his career taken away.

You shoplift from a store, you enter a bank to rob it. I didn't realise my body was also a public space. You don't permenantly damage a store or bank when you take from them. A human being however...the ramifications are endless
