We all agree stealing is bad, but there a difference between shoplifting and bank robbery and we punish them very differently. We need to apply the same sense of proportion to sexual violation; not every jerk out there deserves to have his life ruined or his career taken away.

True, Liam. Trial by media is overshadowing court trials. The media probably isn’t going to change. We have to become more empathetic and wise; determined to hear facts before a rush to judgment.

Typically I agree with you but not this time. Have you ever been violated? Have you been subjected to lewd & contemptuous behavior for fear of losing your job or being overlooked for a promotion? Do you grope your male staff, slide your hand up their leg or down their pants?

You cannot compare stealing objects to taking advantage of another human’s body.

Yes! You make a play on a 14-year-old girl = robbery, you take a picture pretending to touch someone’s breast = shoplifting.

Except for the President of the United States. He has been accused by many women of sexual assault and should be removed from office immediately.

There’s no evidence that Franken assaulted anyone any more then there is evidence that Moore did. What she’s saying is that the grabbing someone butt or kissing them during a rehearsal is not the same as molesting 8 kids, nor should it be treated as such.

Thank you Marianne for being the voice of reason on this sexual assault, harassment, misconduct, discrimination, etc - all very different. In HR, investigations started with, "did you tell them this behavior is unacceptable and ask them to stop? The answer can tell us a lot.
