Reading that freaked me out a bit so I went back and looked at the video. That baby looks calm and blissed out to me! On the other hand, I do think nature has had us cooing softly to babies for millions of years for a reason...

Within a couple of minutes of my son's birth, I used a "sssssssh" sound when he cried - and it was like turning a switch. Quieted right down. I've seen another video with a gentler Om and the baby calmed right down in similar fashion...NOT seeing trauma.

Yes, it's hard to really know for sure, there is a lot of wisdom in the nervous system development-stuff, but they can be off as well. Just thought it would be good to share.
