Dear Evangelical leaders, please explain to me what evil is. I thought sexual assault of 14-year-old girls would qualify ... but maybe I'm wrong?

I find evil an unhelpful word. I think coz it separates....? making the problem worse...

The problem is not our use of the word; the problem, too often, is our failure to deal with the reality.

I guess I wonder if ‘evil’ is a reality? It feels so fixed to me. I wonder how useful it is to describe a reality. However horrific. It seems reductionist to me.
