Inadequate health care. A job you hate but need in order to get benefits. Working more than one job to make ends meet. Skipping meals in order to pay the rent. Living out of your car while going to school. Enormous college loan debts. Endless anxiety about how you'll pay the rent each month. One $500 unexpected expenditure away from total disaster.
