Here is what Maher (and most voters) fail to do. They fail the very basic tenet that you think about the life of the least amongst you. To ignore the 100,000s living homeless and say that we have a good economy. Is to ignore the fact that we as a society failed these people.

Or that those with the power/influence are too arrogant & greedy to do anything about it. They're highly narcistic, so they only see them as inferior & an unnecessary expense. They're a byproduct of wealth, wealth can't exist without the poor. The wealthy want to keep the money.
