The majority of Republicans as well as Democrats want universal health care; the majority of Republicans as well as Democrats want tuition free college and tech school. A progressive economic agenda IS the way to win in 2024. Biden's message to 80 per cent of Americans that we're-kinda-sorta-gonna-do-it-I- know-you-don't-really-feel-it-but-you'll feel it in ten years is not the win.

Massive tax cuts for the richest individuals and corporations among us. Multi billion dollar corporate subsidies for huge companies already making billions in profit. THAT is the “free stuff” we give away that should infuriate everyone. Why should YOUR tax dollars not go to things that serve YOU?

I believe in universal healthcare and free community college, but President Biden has delivered on both issues. Under the SAVE Plan college is going to be free for many more Americans and President Biden has increased Pell Grants by $900 which already covers the full costs of community college for lower income Americans. I think forcing all Americans to have healthcare would be bad policy though, most people who don’t have insurance can already get coverage if they wanted to at no cost. A better option would be to have a public option to drive down costs, and offer federal Medicaid like plans for people who live in non-expansion states. We could expand Medicare to everyone, but I would not be favor of increasing any taxes on working and middle class families. Medicare would have to be completely overhauled though as it currently costs consumers too much. It would never get 60 votes in the Senate though, and even getting 50 Democrats to agree to it would be difficult. Passing it via reconciliation would also limit what you can put in the bill though. Now you can say we can just completely get rid of the filibuster which is a thought, but we need to remember that goes both ways, so if Republicans get complete they would obviously enact a conservative, pro-corporate agenda as could easily undo anything Democrats ever got done.
