The patriarchy doesn't have a problem with women having a seat at the table, as long as we parrot its line. What it finds offensive is when a woman speaks her own mind, without seeking permission, and has the audacity to speak her thoughts with confidence.

Many women internalize the patriarchy and become its willing accomplices. In fact, sometimes with even more viciousness. "If I don't get to do it, then you don't get to do it" as opposed to "You're a sister. Let me help."
