My wife and I left graduate school 23 years ago with a combined total of $70,000 debt. Since then we've made $500 monthly payments for 23 years ($120,000+). Today, we still owe $60,000. Explain to me again why student loan debt shouldn't be cancelled.

Not only should the debt be cancelled. Those loans should never have existed.

Huh? Do you mean they never should have been approved for the loans in the first place, or what. Marianne, if you want my vote, you need to explain yourself.

I suppose we could just mail a meaningless diploma to everyone when they turn 18 & be done with the rest of the charade.

I agree with the not existing part. Student loans are a racket.

Dope! You will never be president
In what world should irresponsibility be cancelled. The Democratic Party should be cancelled
That’s the first policy statement that you’ve made that I agree with. Now end your idiotic and anti democratic bid for the presidency. You are not qualified to be president of a fan club let alone a country.
Quite possibly the dumbest post I've seen in months
