Any problem in the world can be solved by throwing enough money at it. The question is how much money are taxpayers willing to spend and what opportunity costs and perverse incentives will occur when doing so?

Too many privileges to shake up...

Drastically reduce military spending and fund a UBI. It is the most straightforward way to ending poverty and homelessness. Fundamental change requires changing the fundamentals. Twist the social world.

But why would we want to? There needs to be a clear example for society of what happens when you get hopped up on drugs and take zero responsibility for your life. The solution to homelessness is to clear them out of cities, not give them free stuff that I have to pay for.

Right.. you wanna end homelessness or poverty.. but what's the in between word in poverty and rich.. Middle class min.. A $20 an hour minimum wage and a $1500 a month UBI including 100% rent under $2500 pcm equivalent income and under $1 million savings

its not our choice its the government who makes the choice to do nothing. just like 80% of people want universal healthcare but its the governments choice to not give it to us.

They spent BILLION and got 200k people off the street, TEMPORARILY. Because once the government stopped paying, people were homeless again. If you don’t see that as a sign we can’t buy our way out of this problem. You have brain damage
