This is infuriating. Arctic temperatures and human beings outside struggling to get warm. New Hampshire alone needs 31,000 units just to get out of the hole. We need a Domestic Marshall Plan for housing in the United States, with 5 to 10 million units of social units of social housing built. We need a foundation of rehabilitation for drugs. Most people living on the streets are addicts that need help. The problem is much deeper than housing.

Social housing always turns into crime-riddled slums that perpetuate generations of misery. We need housing assistance for the poor and a plan to drastically reduce barriers for private businesses to build more housing. We need mental health and addiction help plan.
