This is infuriating. Arctic temperatures and human beings outside struggling to get warm. New Hampshire alone needs 31,000 units just to get out of the hole. We need a Domestic Marshall Plan for housing in the United States, with 5 to 10 million units of social units of social housing built. Guaranteed affordable housing is part of my Economic Bill if Rights. marianne2024.com/economic-bi…
Closed up the bar I work at downtown and was devastated to see how many people were hunkered down trying to stay warm on our sidewalk. Below freezing, and with the constant Elm St winds it’ll be a rough night. No one deserves to live like this. #HousingFirst #HousingNow

If you actually gave a shit about homeless people, Marianne, then why have you spent the last 4 years doing podcasts and talking to rooms full of 12 people? Seems like you could've been doing more and have chosen not to.

Easy: Upzone to allow triplex homes on every Residential plot of land in America. Housing problems are 99.9% solved by Private Investment. The remaining 0.1% need to be sent to psychiatric wards & detox facilities (not subsidized public housing).

If the government messes something up the answer is NOT more government!

I see how housing is poorly managed around the City of #Detroit everyday. Far too many landlords now rather than homeowners. Lenders have requirements, but they also are restrictive. Often good money doesn't guarantee renters get great housing.

A "right" to another person's labor (housing) is de facto slavery. Your "plans" will all fail; we've seen a century of centralized government failing to provide what it promises. Solutions come from free people, not from DC.
