Covid is surging again. High-quality masks are called for in all healthcare settings, particularly helpful to long Covid patients around the country.
As JN.1 #COVID soars across the East, mandatory #mask 😷 policies return. "...effective 1/12/2024...mandatory masking will resume for patients, visitors & employees in all Johns Hopkins Medicine locations in the state of MD. Masking is required regardless of #vaccination status. #JohnsHopkins Medicine does not permit bandanas, gaiters or masks w/exhalation valves to be worn by patients, staff members or visitors at our locations."

The thing that people just don't get about Covid is that Omicron and the variants spawned by her are seemingly less serious, and more like a common cold but that's just a facade. They enter the body through the respiratory system, just like earlier versions of the virus.

I’m sure you’re aware that the majority of masks don’t stop Covid 🤔

Thank you, Marianne. Requiring high-quality masks (N95s & KN95s) in healthcare settings helps prevent deaths, & it helps prevent more people from being disabled with Long Covid (reinfections increase the risk). And yes, it helps to protect Long Covid patients from getting sicker.

How can we trust these people 🥴
Here's Fauci in March 2021 saying the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was "virtually 100% protective against hospitalizations and death" -- just a reminder that by May 2022 the FDA had restricted the J&J jab because of blood clot risk. 🤷‍♂️ Whoops.

Why didn't we ever wear masks during flu season? (It is flu season)

Masks do nothing.
