The fact that those loans ever existed was an egregious exploitation of America’s young. America should be setting our young people up to win, not cutting them off at their knees.
The President could use the Higher Education Act to cancel the entire debt. Quality higher education should be the right of every American who academically achieves it.
My Administration has cancelled student debt for 3.6 million people through various actions, bringing the promise of higher education to more hardworking Americans.
And we’re going to keep going.
