There is no thriving democracy where there is no thriving middle class. Restoring America’s middle class is the moral task of our generation. Incremental change will not achieve that, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

I was part of that class, educated and I lost everything through the pandemic. It takes years to rebuild this kind of loss. Thank you for caring. The billionaires definitely have no empathy, and not many in politics truly care about us. We’re on our own.
