The fact that those loans ever existed was an egregious exploitation of America’s young. America should be setting our young people up to win, not cutting them off at their knees. The President could use the Higher Education Act to cancel the entire debt. Quality higher education should be the right of every American who academically achieves it.

Going forward, higher education tuition should be “lent” to those student in high demand trades like nurses and teachers. Those who complete the course of study and work two years in the field would be debt free.

Then when they realize they’ve bought a house that too expensive & too many cars or this or that… Then, they’ll expect the taxpayers to bail them out again. I agree they’ve been ‘somewhat’ manipulated, but we shouldn’t be on the hook for it… 1/3
