MARIANNE WILLIAMSON FOR PRESIDENT 2024 January 2nd, 2023 Statement from the Marianne Williamson campaign: We are disappointed that the North Carolina Board of Elections abdicated their authority to protect North Carolina voters from the North Carolina Democratic State Party's attempt to circumvent democracy. It is not the job of the State Board of Elections to protect incumbents. It is their job to oversee elections in a non-partisan manner. By the standards of inclusion set in North Carolina state statutes, Marianne Williamson is a FEC-certified Presidential candidate, has received extensive national news media coverage, is a member of the Democratic Party, and meets all the requirements for the Office of President as set forth in the United States Constitution. Their decision to protect political parties instead of voters is a failure to protect democracy itself. The North Carolina State Board of Elections has disgraced themselves and disgraced the voters of North Carolina. The crisis of Democracy in our nation is institutional.

Seems like Dean Philips and Marianne Williamson forgot to hand over their petitions with 10k signatures, as required by North Carolina election law, to the state Democratic Party. Biden isn't keeping them off the ballot, their own ineptitude and idiocy is.

It's not like you or Bernie are actually Democrats. You simply want to exploit resources of the DNC, which you did NOTHING to help raise, on your vanity projects.

It would be beneficial for her to show her support for Biden and consider running in the upcoming election as a true Democrat.

they deserve a fat lawsuit at least

You didn't qualify according to state law. Simple as that. I'm no fan of North Carolina's government, but you can't fault them for the fact that you knew the reasonable requirements and failed to meet them.

why didnt you bother to file paperwork to be on the ballot with the primary or get the 10k signatures that the board said you had to do....and didnt....

"Under state law, candidates not approved during Tuesday's meeting have until 5 p.m. on Jan. 30 to file a petition to appear on the primary ballot. Petitions must have at least 1,000 signatures from qualified electors in each congressional district." channel3000.com/news/committ…

Well, one way to fight this is to ask your supporters in NC to write you in. I plan to do so. Didn't Lisa Murkowski get elected in Alaska with a write-in vote?

Dean Philips and Marianne Williamson didn't bother to give their petitions with 10k signatures, as required by North Carolina election law, to the state Democratic Party. Their political incompetence alone kept them from the Primary.
