Um, no, that's not classy; it's just good PR. Classy would have been, "We respect the decision made by Costco workers to form a union, and we look forward to a mutually constructive relationship."
Last week, employees at a Costco voted in favor of forming a union. Below is their classy statement in response 馃憦馃憦馃憦

As someone who had worked retail their entire life, you鈥檙e not going to win any votes for criticizing Costco because they can publicly accept fault. Retail workers know how well Costco treats their employees. You should be barking at WalMart or Amazon then you MIGHT get a vote.

That is why I will always shop at Costco.

They could have said exactly that and you still would鈥檝e complained.

You鈥檙e right, its good PR and that is its purpose, probably, but if we judge it relative to most big corp responses this is better than most?

Good God you really baffle me on the daily. If you compare this response to literally every other response to unionizing, costco is saintly. The goal is a society whose workforce is treated so well that unions are unnecessary. Which is costcos exact sentiment here. JFC!

Don't be a know-it-all Marianne... now you sound like you think you have all the right responses to everything. That's a typical politician. You're more than that, right?

Not cool Marianne your ability to be negative is impressive. Costco made an honest statement and you have given no facts to back up your hypnosis. Why should we believe your statement to be the real truth :)
