Um, no, that's not classy; it's just good PR. Classy would have been, "We respect the decision made by Costco workers to form a union, and we look forward to a mutually constructive relationship."
Last week, employees at a Costco voted in favor of forming a union. Below is their classy statement in response 👏👏👏

you gotta be kidding me with this one. this is a big part of why people don't like progressives. you can't give costco management even just a little bit of credit and benefit of the doubt that they too might actually care about their employees? like literally everybody with "power" has to be bad guys, every time? guarantee if you got on a call with Craig and Ron and just talked to them like human beings for 15 minutes, you would agree that they are acting in good faith. happy NYE. hope 2024 treats you well.

Seems reasonable to me.

The Costco statement is a perfectly worded response. All employers should strive to have great relationships with employees so that obfuscation and separation between employees and management is not necessary. Unions make businesses weaker and employee/employer relations worse

What Costco management has failed to do, is leverage their "market power" and "best practices" in a way to increase their employees pay at least as fast as true working-consumer cost of living has gone up, in a way that does not hurt suppliers either. Yes, owners may take a hit.

Nikki Haley hates this

Um yeah, if employers do the right thing there is no need for a union. Something they recognize

That is what they said. Why are you like this? You will also never be President. You don’t have the skill, the integrity or the experience.

Unions are self serving money grabs. They will regret this. But once you have this cancer - it’s hard to get rid of.
