Um, no, that's not classy; it's just good PR. Classy would have been, "We respect the decision made by Costco workers to form a union, and we look forward to a mutually constructive relationship."
Last week, employees at a Costco voted in favor of forming a union. Below is their classy statement in response 👏👏👏

Unions amount to little more than theft and their function is closer to organized crime than it is anything else.

I support unions but when they get involved with politics to the extent that they donate funds and/or promote their candidate/cause, which most, if not all, of them do, they become lobbyists and are prone to corruption. We have seen that time and time again.

I doubt any super pro-union commenters have actually seen what unions do to both companies and employees, particularly in low-hazard, low-wage industries. I fully support their ability to unionize, and simultaneously expect it to end poorly for everyone.

Unions are communist and the vast majority of them are useless. Please look into union machine shops in WA state and their hostile takeovers of the manufacturing industry here and how they have actually harmed employees employers and the economy. Respectfully thank you.

The last paragraph is basically like “please tell your managers if you want to join a union” ~~ *fired 3 weeks later*

I love Costco! Fuck the selfish and greedy employees that work there and voted to unionize. All that union is going to do is vacuum their hard earned money out of their wallets for nothing in return!
