There is huge difference between legal and illegal immigration. My 90 yo mother in law who jumped thru all the hoops, came here legally from Mexico, and became a US citizen is disgusted by what she sees on the news. It’s degrading for the people that do it the right way!

This discussion pretty much ruled you out as a candidate for me. It's not reasonable to put the suggested "root causes" of the migration wave first. We could spend years trying to fix those and meanwhile 50 million more would arrive in the meantime.
