I don’t think it’s the good guys versus the bad guys, Tim. It’s people who are stuck in the past versus people trying to give birth to a better future. As we discussed on your show the other night, neither side of the political spectrum has a monopoly on truth or enlightened perspectives.

None of us need to be talking to people who already agree with us right now as much as we need to be talking with and building goodwill among those with whom we do not always agree. A quality of kinship and respect was present among us. That’s the sweet spot where the healing begins.

Yes, we should listen to other perspectives and I most definitely try, a caveat to what you’re saying is that both parties must be HONEST. When confronted with facts obfuscation and justification must not stand. All sides have dirt on them. Own it!
