The Military Industrial Complex is responsible for millions of good paying jobs, let's not forget. Let's also not become appeasers like you're hinting.

A just transition from a war economy to a peace economy would make sure the people with those jobs make a lateral move. Many are in research, development, and technology, which can be put to good use in the creation of a vital peace economy.
Re appeasement, I am well aware and share your overall concern.

@marwilliamson I’m listening to your podcast about the climate crisis right now and I love that you speak of ending factory farming. It needs to happen.
A way to do this could be investing in lab grown meat. Reallocate subsidies to them instead of factory farms
