Birthright citizenship does not make you a US natural born citizen.
Way too many people believe that Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898) made people born on US soil, to foreign citizen parents, a US natural born citizen. Wong was found to be a CITIZEN and only a CITIZEN exactly as the 14th states, nothing about him being a natural born citizen in that decision.
Liberals/RINOS/Communists/Marxists/Democrats and other constitutional morons have pursued a distorted meaning of a US natural born citizen to include just about anyone and everyone.
Article II, Section 1 Clause 5 reads: "No person except a Natural Born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.
The factor that determines whether one is a US natural born citizen, is, to what country was the ALLEGIANCE (citizenship) of the PARENTS, the instant the child was born. Only if the allegiance of the parents of the child in question is to America, making them US citizens, is the child a natural born citizen.
Ohio Representative and author of the 14th Amendment, John Armor Bingham, stated: “I find no fault with the introductory clause, which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States, OF PARENTS NOT OWING ALLEGIANCE TO ANY FOREIGN SOVEREIGNTY, is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen.
Six years after the 14th amendment, the Supreme Court reaffirmed that description of a natural born citizen when it said: “All children born in a country of PARENTS (plural) who were its CITIZENS (plural) became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners." - 1874 Supreme Court Chief Justice Morrison Waite.
