Even if we agree that Israel was justified in trying to destroy Hamas' military capability, there is no moral justification for what this war has cost the Palestinian people in terms of civilian casualties. Moreover, this war has only added to a hatred that will last for generations, producing more harm to everyone. 1/3

Whether Netanyahu convinced Biden this war was an appropriate strategy, whether Biden encouraged him or whether he simply went along - it was and is both morally and strategically indefensible. Every day the war has gone on has been a humanitarian abomination and disservice to both Palestinians and Israelis alike. 2/3

Not one more day of delay is acceptable. As President, I would say "No more." No more money. No more support at the UN. No more repeating the same mistake we have made for years, failing to hold a friend accountable. It is time to stop the madness. It is time to stop this war. 3/3
