No matter what we think of Donald Trump politically, he must be treated fairly by our justice system. Equal treatment before the law not only means that everyone is held accountable, but also that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Trump has not been proven guilty of insurrection in a court of law, and a ruling based on nothing but that opinion is stepping onto a very slippery slope.

Wtf are you talking about? You ever hear of due process? The co court just shat on the US constitution. Also section 5 says section 3 in enforced by congress,.. Last time I checked, Colorado and their courts are not the US congress.

You and the court are 100% in the wrong. Scotus will overturn. They just took a dump on the constitution. Every one of them should be removed from the bench

Article 5 - Congress shall enact laws to enforce this amendment.
They assumed his guilt without any trial, and for that, they're punishing both him and his supporters. There is no way that's lawful.

No you are confused. She鈥檚 right. And that is showing her principles. It鈥檚 amazing how radically fascist the left has become. And totally brainwashed. I don鈥檛 even like Marianne. Also add it鈥檚 not even clear this provision of 14th amendment applies to office of the president. They listed out specific offices in descending order of importance, and what, just forgot the highest office? Probably not. It was meant for civil war soldiers who literally took up arms and fought the bloodies battle in American history. An actual act of insurrection. And there was a documented list to prove who participated.

So, claiming someone's guilt based on the constitution before they were even charged or convicted is a blatant violation of due process. Anyone who took a basic criminal justice class knows that.

The 14th amendment has a due process clause baked into it right there in section 1. Trump was denied due process. Plain and simple.

He was never charged with Insurrection, let alone convicted. You cannot remove a leading opposition candidate off the ballot for hurting your feelings, which is what you are suggesting.

Who are you to decide whether Trump is guilty or not? That's not how our justice system works. Mayor Curley (Boston MA) was elected mayor while in jail. He was found guilty by a court of law. The people spoke! They chose him in spite of being found guilty. He was a democrat! Hmmm
