Why not just let them rebuilt there homes where they were? What's the problem with that?

Hey, it SOUNDS great. My one question, should owners of their private property find out that their property is getting trashed by the tenants, do they have the power to evict? Aside from that, I can get behind this.

People’s private property isn’t the answer. The US has the money to help in other ways. It’s beyond ridiculous to think someone’s personal property would be seized for this. This is why you’re just an author and not a serious presidential candidate.

Vacation rentals have caused a lot of issues with housing. Turning vacation homes into rentals isn’t a bad idea. The owners still get an income from the property and when things get settled they can all convert them back to vacation homes.

This should be standard in any area with unhoused individuals and unused housing of any kind.

as long as the government buys the property at fair market value or above

Hawaii is such a scam state, it’s run by AirBNB

I’m surprised they did not ask the celebrities to give up some of their land to house the families. Considering how much extra land they have to spare.
