I've always understood that Israel's siege on Gaza is morally indefensible and has caused immense suffering to Palestinians living there, but I had mistakenly assumed that Israel's withdrawal of settlements from Gaza in 2005 meant the term "occupation" no longer applied to Israel's control of the strip. I'm now learning that the UN and many leading international bodies and human rights organizations continue to regard Gaza as part of the occupied territories, so I stand corrected on my earlier remarks suggesting otherwise. But more importantly, as President, I will fight for a future free of siege and occupation; one where every Israeli and every Palestinian can live in safety, dignity, and freedom.

How will you prevent Palestinians from continuing their decades long terror campaigns? Your solution isn’t a solution.

Marianne, is the Israeli siege on Gaza anything like the American siege on Mexico? What was that? There is no US siege on Mexico? But, but, the US built a partial wall at the border between Mexico and the US. That makes Mexico an OPEN AIR PRISON!!! And yes, we do need a two State solution. Like Israel should leave Gaza and let them create their own government and run their country as they wish..... Wait, what? Israel left Gaza in 2005? Gaza been self-ruling since then and receives billions in foreign aid every year? Making Gaza a separate State from Israel? If you are going to pretend to run for office, perhaps you should read beyond the memes...

It’s regularly referred to as a blockade not an occupation by the UN. Many think all of Israel is an occupation. The purity police are dangerous. Fair-weather friends...

The IOF is dropping leaflets in Lebanon on civilians that they're about to be bombed to death.

Absolutely correct. An "occupation" does not require actual boots on the ground, per the widely understood definition shared by the UN, global human rights organizations, and international law.

You need to add a new miracle to A Course In Miracles: The miraculous transformation of you from someone of integrity and love to yet another craven politician who will say literally anything to try to lead the mob and stir up divisiveness and hatred for votes Well, this will get you screeching self righteous woke mob fist bumps but you can kiss goodbye any hope you have of being influential in the Democratic party, or of being taken seriously about anything after you lose the race for the nomination and, ahem, miraculously find yourself uninvited from almost every type of event that previously filled up your time Then again, you may still have the so-called “progressive” mob and marginalized, they will be desperate
