Depending on what it is I have no problem with it and a majority of Democrats want something done. Local and state governments are overwhelmed. More money for asylum judges is one of the biggest things you can do to fix things.

US cities are in a death spiral (as Andrew Cuomo just said). Only a radical reversal on immigration can prevent this death spiral from consuming all of the US.

I’m not entirely sure what people are expecting. Are we supposed to keep open borders & accommodate every asylum seeker in the world?

Don’t get me wrong. I think we should definitely support asylum seekers & immigrants legally coming into the country, but we also need to take a realistic approach about what we can actually accommodate.

Not that I approve of these measures ; but if it gets the 100 billion for 3 countries.... you can always modify the measures later , secretly. ( Underhanded politics ) I can solve the immigration issues , fentanyl , overdosing , and much more AND increase revenues.
