It's mind boggling nobody is talking about correcting the root problem, just make student loans dischargeable in bankruptcy. Problem self corrects immediately when loans for worthless degrees go away.

The college loan debt should be forgiven completely because it should never have existed. It's the product of a predatory, economically unholy alliance of government/lenders/banks that thwarts the dreams of our young, setting people up for misery who should be entering the most creative and joy filled time of their lives. The system is immoral, unjust, and it's got to go. #CancelStudentDebt

People realize the bankruptcy issue. It's draconian, but fixing it doesn't make the whole problem go away.

Appreciate the response. Knowing many disagree, and seeing what transpired since the 2005 Bankruptcy Act, I would only wish this was actually considered/debated. I wish any issues were seriously debated!
