The UN resolution was for a ceasefire along with release of the hostages. The United States vote against it was shameful.

Without money for reconstruction IMMEDIATELY after a Ceasefire (followed by a street-by-street sweep of Hamas) NOTHING of worth will last. AGAIN : 1. Complete Sweep of Hamas followed by 2. Probably 100 Billion in Reconstruction. Nothing short of that will do.
