Both peoples have the human right to a sovereign state, security and justice. That alone should be America's position, and what is happening in Gaza now does not support that. Our foreign policy cannot be guided here by what we can destroy but by what we can help create.

The time to lay plans for a 2-state solution is now. Neither Hamas nor Netanyahu are willing or capable of doing that, but world leaders can exert more pressure on them than they are now. The U.S. should be helping to lead that effort. Our highest ally should be humanity itself.

Yeah, I agree with most of what you said. And it's better than nothing, but far from perfect. Who gets the war torn parts? Who won't be allowed to return back to their trees, back to their oranges, back to their homes? You'll just be affirming the right to colonize.
