Both peoples have the human right to a sovereign state, security and justice. That alone should be America's position, and what is happening in Gaza now does not support that. Our foreign policy cannot be guided here by what we can destroy but by what we can help create.

The time to lay plans for a 2-state solution is now. Neither Hamas nor Netanyahu are willing or capable of doing that, but world leaders can exert more pressure on them than they are now. The U.S. should be helping to lead that effort. Our highest ally should be humanity itself.

Hamas do not want a two state solution, their leaders have openly said they want perpetual war and will commit mass rapes and massacres again. It is not possible to negotiate peace with this,both Hamas and Netanyahu need to be removed from power for a peace settlement to be found
