Both peoples have the human right to a sovereign state, security and justice. That alone should be America's position, and what is happening in Gaza now does not support that. Our foreign policy cannot be guided here by what we can destroy but by what we can help create.

The time to lay plans for a 2-state solution is now. Neither Hamas nor Netanyahu are willing or capable of doing that, but world leaders can exert more pressure on them than they are now. The U.S. should be helping to lead that effort. Our highest ally should be humanity itself.

there is absolutely justification for what Netanyahu is doing. Hamas must be eradicated. they have shown what they will do if they are allowed to exist, and their leadership has made clear that they will do it again and again. indeed, it is why they exist. Hamas owns this.
