The U.S. government is in the absurd position of supporting the bombing of Gaza and simultaneously telling Israel to protect civilians. How do you protect people you're killing? There's no valid justification for what Netanyahu is doing in Gaza. The U.S. should not support it. 🧵

Both peoples have the human right to a sovereign state, security and justice. That alone should be America's position, and what is happening in Gaza now does not support that. Our foreign policy cannot be guided here by what we can destroy but by what we can help create.

The time to lay plans for a 2-state solution is now. Neither Hamas nor Netanyahu are willing or capable of doing that, but world leaders can exert more pressure on them than they are now. The U.S. should be helping to lead that effort. Our highest ally should be humanity itself.

THere is a simple justification for what Israel is doing. Hamas started a war and Israel is defending themselves byt removing the threat. Do you think we would have defeated nazis if US had the same pathetic stance as you do now?
