In the richest country in the world, the majority of people should not be struggling to get by. In the 1970s the average worker had decent benefits, could afford a house, a car, a yearly vacation, and to send their kids to school. Our current system is predicated on a majority of people living their lives in order to serve an economic system, when the purpose of an economic system is to serve the people. This is unsustainable, and it will not last. This fundamental collective injustice represents a reign of economic tyranny, contrary not only to the tenets of democracy but to the basic decency of the American people. The political establishment works hard to pull the wool over peoples eyes, acting as though the whole thing is far more complicated than it actually is. It’s time to pierce the illusion , vote for an Economic Bill of Rights, and break the invisible shackles that bind far too many people and keeps democracy in chains. #marianne2024 #anewbeginning cbsnews.com/news/inflation-h…

Yes, America has thoroughly failed its citizens. We live as prisoners of a system that constantly tells us we have free-will and democracy - when in truth we are slaves to the military/industrial/entertainment/medical/media complex that owns and controls our country.

The Federal reserve is the main part of the rigged economic system , constantly transferring wealth from the bottom to the top. End the Fed and abolish the corrupt and suppressive income and payroll tax systems. Let the American worker shine again !!

Please support #CornelWest2024 and #JillStein2024. You have more in common with them than the party that just shut you out.

The 1970’s? Clearly you jest! We had stagflation hippies protesting the energy crisis double digit inflation and interest rates! In fact today feels a lot like the 70’s!

We were rationing gas/fuel in the ‘70’s. People with even/odd numbers on license plates would get gas only 3 times per week. Long lines. You’re not really understanding things or giving a full picture of life for working class people in the 70’s. It was a mess.
In the 20th century, USA was the world's most exuberant proponent of plutocracy. Corporations offshored their factories, making China the world's #1 factory. Now American workers have low-paying service jobs and the nation has lost much of its skill base. American society is splintered. The gov't is dysfunctional. The only hope for the USA is regain some balance. That begins by electing a sensible leader with vision, not another senile or angry old man. The only one truly able and willing to take on that Herculean task is Marianne Williamson @marwilliamson. ishinobu.com/story/

Capitalism got lazy. Instead of creating products that improve humanity, now they just market cheap crap and skim wages from their workers to make a profit.

⬆️ Men in the 70s as average workers with a wife enslaved at home could enjoy a middle class life - we need a new paradigm. This is the old put on a pedestal We need the #GDP to include the #CareEconomy & Women to be honored & respected as equal citizens & families undergirded
