Well you won’t believe what Florida is doing now… You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get on the ballot in states across the country, but Florida takes the cake: they won’t even let you try! The FL Sec. of State has decided to simply allow the Florida Democratic Party to DECIDE who it wants to be on the ballot! The Democratic Party said, “We only want Joe Biden, please.” This absurd and unconstitutional display is exactly how an authoritarian state works: People are told they can vote, but are informed by someone else who their options will be. The words of my father keep ringing in my ear: “Beat the system, kids, beat the system!” More to come…

We sent the letter below to the executive staff at the Florida Democratic Party today. Although the DNC won in court when they claimed after the 2016 election that they were a private entity and therefore didn't owe the public a fair democratic selection process during the primaries, the legal argument here is that since they are playing what is in essence a governmental role in this process, they do owe it to the public to align with the Constitutional principles regarding qualifications to run for President. The story will continue to develop. The FDP did all this at the last minute, changing rules to fit their will, making it extremely difficult for other campaigns to even know what to do. It goes without saying that if you can't get on the ballot in a state as big as Florida, your chances to proceed are deeply impacted.

To the Phillip Jerez and the Florida State Democratic Party executive staff,   The Marianne Williamson Presidential campaign is writing in regard to the Florida Democratic Party’s single candidate submission to the Florida Secretary of State for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Preference Primary. The Florida Democratic Party must TODAY submit or augment its candidate list for the 2024 Presidential Preference Primary to include Marianne Williamson as candidate for the Democratic Party Presidential Preference Primary.  The Florida State Party  invoked the authority of an executive committee that made the decision not to include Marianne Williamson on the ballot.   There are no bylaws or stated provisions for such a committee to be vested with such powers in the Florida Democratic Party’s bylaws and charter. The 2024 delegate plan on the state party’s website makes no stipulations or provisions for an executive committee’s authority on who can or who can’t run for president as a Democrat. Executive Director Phillip Jerez promised to send an email drafting your decision and process in writing, by no later than the morning of November 30th.  No such email has been delivered. This is indicative of the unprofessional behavior and lack of transparency exhibited by the Florida Democratic Party. The Marianne Williamson Campaign has made countless outreach communications to the Florida State Party, only to be met with silence.  Only after public outreach via X (Twitter) did the state party respond on November 29th, one day before Florida’s ballot determination. Such behavior does not uphold the party’s stated principals of inclusion, diversity, and democracy. The U.S. Constitution only stipulates that a presidential candidate be a natural born citizen, be over 35 years old, and have been a resident for over 14 years. Marianne Williamson has been the first announced candidate in the Democratic Party primary since February of 2023.  She is polling in double digits and is on the ballot in Arkansas, California, Colorado, Nevada, Georgia, Oklahoma, and South Carolina. According to Florida statute, the Florida Democratic Party’s submission of a single candidate will forfeit a Democratic presidential primary, which prevents the process in which Florida Democrats are supposed to select delegates for the national convention.  This is in violation of the DNC’s 2004 Delegate Selection Rules. To repeat:   The Florida Democratic Party must TODAY submit or augment its candidate list for the 2024 Presidential Preference Primary to include Marianne Williamson as candidate for the Democratic Party Presidential Preference Primary. Regards, Carlos Cardona, for the Marianne Williamson for President Campaign

Marianne for the first 130 years of our country’s existence there were no primaries or caucuses. Candidates were chosen by the parties. Are you saying we were an authoritarian country then? GOP in Virginia in 2021 held a convention w/o a primary. It’s not illegal. 1/2

You act like we are dumb and we didn't go thru 2016 and 2020. People already left the democratic party because of this.

Florida has a closed primary, so I can't vote in the primary election for president because I'm NPA. Florida has as many NPA voters as we do Democrats and Republicans but we have to pick from the leftovers

This is standard in Florida. Neither party sells ballot access in Florida. Your team knew this months ago. But please, continue to tell voters how you *feel* like a victim, that's a real winning message. Just drop out and start a podcast like Tulsi already.

You are confused. You are more than welcome to run for President in Florida, you just can't run as a Democrat. That's not Florida's fault, it's the Democrat's fault. The entire DNC is a cabal of lying cheating scumbags, and to your shame, you are desperate to be part of it.

Note that the Democratic Party is the issue here.

Marianne... familiarize yourself with the DNC's winning argument in the 2017 Bernie Donor suit. They are a private party and can nominate whomever they wish... the donors should have known that, and primary elections are not real elections, only the general is.
