I will declare a Climate Emergency, and begin an immediate mass mobilization for a just transition from a dirty economy to a clean economy. By the way, this will create millions of jobs. 1/3
COP28 is around the corner & the UN just released a dire new report. If countries fully implement their plans to cut carbon emissions as currently promised under the Paris Agreement framework, the planet will still warm 2.9C. That's double Paris' target. grist.org/cop28/un-emissions…

Despite the green investments in the IRA, President Biden has given more oil drilling permits than even Trump did. It does little good to invest in green energy when you’re also granting all those drilling permits and approving the Willow Project. It’s time to ramp down, not ramp up, fossil fuel extraction. Not later. Now. 2/3

One of the most shameful aspects of this is all the environmental groups who have endorsed Biden, allowing themselves to be so seduced by the false leverage of a White House phone call returned every once in a while that they themselves become unwitting tools. 3/3

Our government needs reigned in not promises of emergency expansion using war time provisions to do what you can’t with consensus. If the climate problem was really bad, there would be overwhelming number of scientist showing their data. You wouldn’t need emergency powers we’d all see the debates and know. When you censor opinions and propagate a single view, that’s not science. I know cause I’m a scientist. I’ve seen what the agencies have done to the sciences. It’s shameful. They did to Covid science a blueprint that I had watched for a decade with climate change. Just like if Covid killed 35% of the people you wouldn’t need to lie and mandate people into doing your experiment, it would be self evident The fact that you want to bypass democracy makes me not take you seriously as a candidate. But that’s just me.

“I will declare the CCP the world super power. And begin an immediate deindustrialization. By the way this will create millions of jobs, in China producing the solar panels and windmills.” There I fixed that for you.

Marianne, you are not running for dictator. The head of the executive branch is supposed tooversee the functions of the government as proscribed by the laws Congress passes. This is why you have no chance in this election. The People want to return to constitutional order.

I think people don’t realize all the deals that keep dangerous chemicals in use in the environment like this isn’t just about the environment but your own health!

You're out! If climate change is real, why are big companies and billionaires buying up beach front properties? And the banks giving loans to do so?

Capitalism is incapable of addressing climate concerns and MUST die, if we have a chance of survival. Here is why: 1. Climate issues are global. 2. There is not enough financial capital 3. No body in the world can force capitalists to invest in the environment due to it being a contradiction with the concept of “individual freedom” 4. There is no return on investment. If there is, it would take generations making profitability a mute point. 5. Single-use, plastic and disposable production system and consumerism in general is what is holding capitalism upright and in direct contradiction with environmental concerns. 6. “Competition” is the Fundamental principle upon which capitalism “philosophy” is built. Addressing climate issues requires cooperation and close working relationship amongst all people living on this planet as well as governing bodies, whatever they may be. 7. US millitary an integral component of capitalism and its 1000 bases are the biggest polluters of this planet. It sure as hell is not going to shoot itself in the foot. No pun intended. 8. I can go on forever.
