I see the pseudo-sophisticates on Twitter asking what I’m “possibly hoping to achieve…” by running for President. They’re big on the argument that I could never win. Whether I win, I cannot control. But I know what I can control. I can control whether people have the option of a President who says this country belongs to a tiny percentage of us, with a political system that perpetuates a fundamental economic injustice. And that we have to change that. A President who offers an Economic Bill of Rights - from MedicareForAll to a guaranteed living wage. Plus a Department of Peace. And a Department of Children and Youth. And ending the War on Drugs. That’s not just what I “hope” to achieve. Whether or not people choose that option is not under my control, but the option is offered. And I will be able to look at myself in the mirror because I know I offered it. #Marianne2024

Democracy vs Authoritarian Dictatorship. Now is not the time for a vanity project. Choose wisely. If you can.

Thank you for giving us that choice. You have my vote all the way, someone has to champion the progressive cause

Non of these things are feasible and we know they will not work. You should promise that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. What planet are you from not this one.

Just tell us your qualifications @marwilliamson so we can decide. Perhaps list the top 5? There is a legitimate feeling that we want an educated, experienced person as president. Barring that it's more important to understand the non-traditional qualifications

You're just a spoiler. You'll never get elected ... again. You're wasting your time. You're infecting our politics with your self-righteous, bulls#it. If you had a shred of decency and REALLY cared for America, you would drop out.

I admit I didn't take the Dept of Peace idea that seriously at first. But now I see how we could really benefit from studying how other countries have been able to move forward after the end of devastating conflicts. Examples are WW2, the end of Apartheid, and the Khmer Rouge.

I'm still voting for Biden but I definitely think you have some ideas to contribute and worthy of discussion.
