I see the pseudo-sophisticates on Twitter asking what I’m “possibly hoping to achieve…” by running for President. They’re big on the argument that I could never win. Whether I win, I cannot control. But I know what I can control. I can control whether people have the option of a President who says this country belongs to a tiny percentage of us, with a political system that perpetuates a fundamental economic injustice. And that we have to change that. A President who offers an Economic Bill of Rights - from MedicareForAll to a guaranteed living wage. Plus a Department of Peace. And a Department of Children and Youth. And ending the War on Drugs. That’s not just what I “hope” to achieve. Whether or not people choose that option is not under my control, but the option is offered. And I will be able to look at myself in the mirror because I know I offered it. #Marianne2024

I truly wish you would get a fair shot. No, we don't have fair elections in this country and when Democrat voters wake up and realize that Donald Trump is a symptom, not a cause, of a broken system - maybe then we can have an honest conversation.
