This is making an already catastrophic situation catastrophically worse. There was never a military solution to this problem and there is no military solution to it now. Barbarism must not be met with barbarism. Support for Israel should never have meant - and should not now mean - unconditional support for the worst impulses of Benjamin Netanyahu.

As the war ravages, we need to call a ceasefire in these moments. Biden is only trying to deny a ceasefire and Biden's decision only causes a horrible issue to become one of the worst issues no one can solve. Peace must come, now.
