This is making an already catastrophic situation catastrophically worse. There was never a military solution to this problem and there is no military solution to it now. Barbarism must not be met with barbarism. Support for Israel should never have meant - and should not now mean - unconditional support for the worst impulses of Benjamin Netanyahu.

The weapons are already in Israel, stockpile is there for this exact purpose. So it makes sense to ask Congress for approval to put them to use. This is not a big story.
