One of the benefits of incumbency is that there is no primary challenge. You build coalitions & finances for general election. Last serious challenge was in ‘79 when Ted Kennedy tried to primary Pres Carter. He failed but Carter was weakened & lost to Reagan which was devastating

People like you are an existential threat to the Regime. Mind you, the Regime has much more control over the Democrats than it does over the Republicans. That wasn't always the case, but it is now, thanks to Trump and the America First movement. And because you are an existential threat, far from allowing you any sort of power, the Regime must pretend that you do not exist. Which is exactly what they are doing. This is also why @RobertKennedyJr doesn't get Secret Service protection. If the Regime provided that protection, they would have to first acknowledge not only his existence but also the fact that he has a serious operation. Doing that would only legitimize him and build him up. Again, existential threat.
