We desperately need term limits. The president has them. Two terms like the President that's it. Also if Americans have to do without health insurance so should Congress!

5 years feels very brief think that politics and bureaucrats is handicapped by people who carve a groove out and stay in place for decades even half a lifetime I'm not sure politics should be till retirement and beyond creating enclaves of folk who run things like their club

I agree there are certain posts like the dept of the interior that help to combat partisanism as the jobs carry over from term to term. I also, Tend to agree that the yin & yang of our system as designed works and the balance of old ideas with newcomers is important as well.
