In order to get onto the ballots in all fifty states it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. The system is rigged to make sure that only those with a lot of money, or access to a lot of money, can get near the highest pinnacles of power. 🧵

So we have a choice: rule by oligarchs or rule by the people. When "a gov't of the people, by the people and for the people" has become "a gov't of a few of the people, by a few of the people and for a few of the people," it's up to the people to decide whether to let that stand.

I couldn't agree more! Just to run for TX-12 requires $3,125 filling fee. Not to mention, finding a bank that will open political organization accounts is a nightmare, 4 banks have said no. @FEC doesn't have a list or info on banks that allow political organization. Thankfully, looking at public filings, I'm in works with a few banks to help me open an account to receive donations. This whole system is rigged to not allow middle-class people to get into political positions.
