I presume that their answer would be that he's an elected representative--a professional politician--and thus due this courtesy, which is a terribly weak argument. He's "legitimate," as they see it. I happen to like him, but this snub is infuriating, and says much about them.

Because the Democratic Party is the least democratic outfit in the world? You do understand that even if you were polling at 90%, the DNC would never permit you to become the candidate, don't you? I mean, Bernie was winning state after state in landslides, so they stopped him.
