And we wonder why the kids are depressed. #ClimateEmergency
It is not easy to talk about this. This weekend - for the first time ever - the world temporarily breached 2° of warming. This is a five-alarm fire for humanity. (1/7) 🧵

No, we wonder why kids aren't more resilient and lack any emotional intelligence for their respective age. We wonder why so many are overmedicated and obese, in this golden age of medicine? We wonder why, despite previous generations having far worse times and projected futures, we are setting up our children for failure - because they simply cannot cope with the basics for survival.

Hey isn’t it more important to send billions of US taxpayer dollars to Ukraine and Israel instead of spending it on domestic renewable energy R & D?

Children, on their own, would not have noticed. Adults are traumatizing the children.

I thought >1.5° C was "runaway" ... is it already too late? Do climate models include increasing greenery in areas currently too cold for deciduous plants and "silicate weathering"? The planet has been warmer in the past and (clearly) recovered. news.mit.edu/2022/earth-stab…

Climate change , though real, has no impact on depression. This is why people don’t take crackpots like you seriously.
