Ceasefire. Release of the hostages. Plans for a two-state solution. Those must be the cry of the world, and all of them need to happen now. Two traumatized peoples will emerge from this with wounds beyond what most of us can imagine. As President, I will offer the full resources of the United States to support the peacemakers among both peoples. I will help to harness an international consortium to forge a two state solution by which the rights and security of both Palestinians and Israelis are established and guaranteed. There will not be a quick solution to this disastrous moment in Middle East history. Much will have to accomplished and a lot of it will not be easy. But the United States can play a pivotal role in creating a path to genuine healing, and if I am President we will.

Kudos to @marwilliamson. She uttered the forbidden word. Ceasefire.

I actually think a single secular democratic state might be necessary. The partitioning and inequality since 1948 led to the situation today.

This is much better than most other people running for office, but Israel must simply end apartheid and become a real multi-ethnic democracy.

I think it's time stop pretending there's a two state solution and bring democracy to the whole damn thing. Do what they did in South Africa. Stop pretending there's more than one state. End apartheid.

Ask Israeli journalist Gideon Levy what he thinks of the 2 state solution. @gide

Notice how no one calls on Israel to release the Palestinian hostages which is largely the reason behind Oct 7th. It’s okay for Palestinians to be kidnapped without charge for decades but #ReleaseTheHostages when it’s Israelis

You are never going to be president. Easy to make claims about what you'd do.

What would the borders of these two states be? This is a fairy tale.

You can’t be serious by still calling for a two state solution. There are 750,000 settlers in the West Bank that make a 2 state solution literally impossible. The Israeli goevrnment isn’t even pretending that’s what they want so why are you still pushing that? This isn’t 1992
