Ceasefire. Release of the hostages. Plans for a two-state solution. Those must be the cry of the world, and all of them need to happen now. Two traumatized peoples will emerge from this with wounds beyond what most of us can imagine. As President, I will offer the full resources of the United States to support the peacemakers among both peoples. I will help to harness an international consortium to forge a two state solution by which the rights and security of both Palestinians and Israelis are established and guaranteed. There will not be a quick solution to this disastrous moment in Middle East history. Much will have to accomplished and a lot of it will not be easy. But the United States can play a pivotal role in creating a path to genuine healing, and if I am President we will.

You are living in a fantasy world. Israel wishes it had a partner for peace. It doesn’t. Have you heard the rants of hamas from the river to the sea? Every US president has tried and failed because palestinians don’t want peace or a 2 state solution. Study history.

Marianne, have you even educated yourself on Islam? Your statements are incredibly naive. They make you sound extremely ignorant. Learn about Islam before you say anything else, you really lost my respect with this ignorant drivel.

Why has one state solution with equal rights/voting rights for Palestinians not been considered?

Hostages must all be released before any ceasefire can happen and Hamas must surrender. Hamas has promised to do this again. They must be destroyed now.

Both sides should have an election, each putting forward a pro-peace and pro-war option. If both sides vote for peace, negotiations for a two-state solution start. If one votes for war and the other peace, we support whomever chooses peace. If both sides choose war, we're out.
